Ballard County Schools has partnered with a new online payment portal where parents can pay cafeteria bills, view student balances and cafeteria purchases, and even make online automatic payments.

The website is www.myschoolbucks.com . To use the system, parents or guardians must establish a user name and password. Next, a confirmation will be sent to an existing e-mail account. There is an operational cost of $2 for each payment, charged by the banking system associated with this program. However, parents may still pay by check or cash as well.

All Ballard County schools now are qualified under the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Community Eligibilty Provision. All of our schools will participate, which means ALL students at ALL schools may receive free breakfast and lunch each day.

However, it is extremely important that ALL families complete a Household Income Form application (link below), regardless of income level.

Please see the "Letter to Households" in the Code of Behavioral Expectations for a better explanation of these procedures.Instructions also are provided there for completing the applications.

For the program to work, Student Nutrition Director Sara Jane Hedges is encouraging all students to use their school's new "grab and go" breakfast option. All students arriving at school on time will be able to grab a hot breakfast and spend time with their friends before the school day begins.
